Many of you would remember the incredible addition of the Peterson and Derrickson families to our Hamilton family history story. We announced this 'find' back in Aug. 2023 in a video call between Cathy Peterson Marsh Baker and myself that we posted to our Facebook group.
Now that a couple years have come and gone, I wanted to give an update and post a new podcast format of the story including more details on Roy's large family.
Below is a restoration of the wedding photo of Roy and his bride Essie Pearl Nichols, married in Dayton, WA on Oct. 11, 1915.
It's a most incredible story of family... and how DNA can add to our family history and family circle without taking anything away from the heritage we lived before and the relationships with the family we love.
