On the Hamilton, Joe Frank and Reynolds fan facebook group today a fan and researcher, Jenny Rose, posted this photo of Danny's maternal grandmother, Lillian "Lillie" May (Ramsay) Fee | Galloway (1887-1974). She had found it as a profile picture at Lillie's family tree profile page on the genealogy website, FamilySearch.
This original image was rescued from a 2nd hand store in North Vancouver, BC, Canada by a family history angel back in Aug. 2025. The finder scanned, researched and posted the front and back of the image on Lillie's record on FamilySearch.org. It appears that the image was a large hand tinted oversized cabinet card style portrait. It likely would have been framed and may still be (you can see the reflection of the photographer in the unrestored original image).
I did not get the opportunity to know her in life. I did have the honor of being a pall bearer at her funeral in Grand Forks, BC. I was 12 years old. She was my great grandmother. Her oldest child, Elsie Luetta Galloway married Maurice Lake Hamilton, a grandson of Supplina & Jane Hamilton, in Okanogan, WA on Sept. 29, 1920.
