Supplina Hamilton letter to his son. May 17, 1891 - Endicott, WA

This letter was written by Supplina Hamilton to his son Frank in May of 1891. Supplina and Jane were farming on their bottom land on Union Flat Creek in the Palouse Country in Whitman County, WA a few miles south of the town of Endicott. Supplina came to the Palouse from the Waitsburg, WA area in 1888. He speaks of the difficulty they are having getting a crop up and the tremendous work they had done that Spring. He speaks of his son Heman and the land he's working near his and of their friends the Cox family. He speaks of his preaching in the Christian Church in Endicott and the upcoming Camp Meeting on the Cozier place on Pine Creek out of Rosalia. He tells of his desire to get the land assets he still has in Columbia County in production or to sell it for $1000. It's all very interesting and written in his own hand. The original of this letter has been preserved by the descendants of the recipient, Frank Hamilton and is currently in the possession of Frank's great granddaughter Connie (Hamilton) Boone.
